I ran my first-ever live course and improved my overall confidence in teaching and coaching!

Before working with Dori, I knew I wanted something I could do on the side. An online community around helping people with their branding. I had already created a workbook that I never did anything with it because I didn’t know if it was good and needed guidance on that.

A pivotal moment in the course project was right after I had some market research conversations with prospective students. What I learned from that experience was invaluable and it also helped me get comfortable talking to people about this kind of thing. I learned that people really needed help and were very confused about what a brand is.

One of the best parts of working with Dori is that I could always count on her. There was never a time I felt like I couldn’t. She also had the foresight to have what we needed in case something went awry. There were a couple of times during the live course that was needed.

Dori is also intuitive and highly emotionally intelligent. For example, she had a sense that it would be good for me to share with my students that I was pregnant at the time. I wasn’t sure if that would be a good thing but she encouraged me to, and I’m glad I did. I was able to relax and be myself more.

She’s also very good at leading a conversation and asking pointed questions. Which makes her very efficient at what she does.

If we hadn’t worked together, the workbook I created would have just stayed in Google Drive and I would still be feeling unfulfilled. I wanted to know that what I had to offer was valuable to people that I couldn’t serve in my branding agency. And I wouldn’t have known without trying. Now I know that which is great.

I’d recommend DIZI strategies to anyone who wants to teach on a larger scale (like a coach). Someone who is looking to reach more people and streamline what they already do with their clients.”

I freed up a lot of my time and was more productive and efficient during the time we worked together.

Before having Dori’s support, I was trying to get my course up and running to present to the public. But at the same time, there were lots of things in the background that needed to be taken care of.

I wasn’t focusing on some of the key components of my business, and I found I was sidetracked and distracted by other things. I saw that I was losing a bit of control, perspective, and priority as to what I should do next. So, I just didn’t have the organizational structure that I needed to take that next step.

I needed another business mind to bounce everything off of and provide advice to guide me along the right path.

When we first started working together, it was more about finishing urgent tasks. But as our relationship evolved, Dori became more of a consultant or business partner.

Her strengths are in her business acumen. She was able to see the bigger picture of where I wanted to go, broke it down into tasks, and helped me get there. And she never lost sight of the big vision.

She asked the right questions and made sure we were going in the right direction. On a regular basis, she’d regroup and ask, “Is what we’re doing fitting in the overall scheme of where you want to go?” And she did that naturally — something she’s been gifted in.

At times, Dori said things I didn’t want to hear. But when I reflected on it, I was glad she pushed the envelope on certain parts and didn’t just do what I said.

Dori was always positive and upbeat when we met. Timeliness was also important to me, and she was always reliable and dependable.

She also went above the call of duty on some items. For example, if she came across something that may have been beneficial for what I was trying to do, she would take the time to share it. Those actions were noticed because she didn’t have to do them and it created a more harmonious relationship.

Even though the focus of the relationship was business, it became more of a companionship business thing as opposed to something rote. And that’s because she merged the personality into the work itself.

If you’re looking for someone who is going to be a business partner as well as carry out helpful tasks, then Dori is a good person to engage with. If you’re just looking for someone to tick boxes and carry out tasks, she’s not the person for you. She’s going to help you in your business.”

“As a business owner, when you’re running it all yourself, you have a billion things going on. Working with Dori forced us to really define what we wanted to offer and how we wanted to offer it.

Dori kept us on track. She’s extremely organized. My brain is incredibly scattered, and I’m a “shiny object” person. Dori is more process-oriented than I am and I need that, otherwise, I’m all over the place. Having checklists, the documents that she put together, knowing what we need to do was extremely helpful.

She was able to take what was in my head and put it online, which is not an easy task to do. She took my words and turned them into something visual.

One of the most important updates was adding strong testimonials. That was incredibly important because it was definitely missing!

I would refer DIZI strategies, because Dori is efficient, easy to work with, and her work is good. Dori has a calming nature about her, and she has a great ability to organize and put processes in place. She was a joy to work with!”

Dori is thorough and methodical. She will not rush through a process simply to reach the end, and she takes personal pride in her work. Every engagement is meaningful and she is fully invested in the outcome and the client. I enjoy her engaging personality and her insightful perspective into both the professional and personal well-being of the relationship.

Professionally, my business has benefited from development strategy, client identification, and collaborative business building. On a personal note, I have become open to trusting and depending on others in a way that I have not felt comfortable in many years.

I would recommend DIZI strategies in a heartbeat to any professional who is serious about finding focus and working with a true ally. Dori is insightful, dedicated, honest, caring, and effective. She performs work that requires thought and detail with grace and accuracy. She is ideal for complex projects and big-picture responsibilities and her reporting and tracking skills are excellent. Dori is the partner you want at your side as you navigate your way from idea to reality.”

Lizabeth Wesely-Casella, CEO of L-12 Services

“Dori is incredibly smart, strategic, and multi-talented. She's a strong systems thinker with a knack for technology — but she never loses sight of the big picture. Regardless of what she's working on, she does it well and she makes sure that the final deliverable always hits the mark.

I would highly recommend DIZI strategies because I trust that Dori provides quality work and would take good care of those she works alongside. She would also be honest if her skills aren't a good fit for what her potential clients need.”

Maureen Lauder, Copywriter

“Dori is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I've ever worked with. She has an incredible gift of active listening and will make you feel like you and your needs are most important when you're talking to her.

Dori always asks questions rather than making assumptions in order to draw conclusions and offer insights. She's genuine and honest, a team player, and truly leads by example in how she approaches her life and her business.”

— Hanna Woodside, Lead Operations at Maguey Melate

“I worked with Dori while we were part of an online business education company. I appreciated that she was infinitely patient with all of the expectations placed on her and the team. She always kept us focused on the solution instead of being bogged down on the issues. When working at an all-remote company, it's so important to be able to keep your cool in difficult situations. I think having her on the team really helped us stay balanced.

Her strength is getting big picture visionaries to focus on clarifying their vision without feeling stifled or discouraged by the questions. She is able to use a coaching/mentoring mindset to get leaders to where they want to go while helping them recognize that they might not always be able to do everything all at once. I always leave the meeting very happy to have Dori as a colleague, because I know that she will take the time to give me space to think about things while nudging me correctly in the right direction.”

Tracy Huang, Project Manager

“Dori is the kind of teammate that thinks of angles and variables that I had not considered. She addresses all aspects of a problem and sets about solving it so thoroughly that not only is the problem solved, but you also now have a system for addressing any similar issues that come up in the future.

Not only would I trust Dori to handle just about any challenge, but she also has a keen emotional intelligence that makes her at home with client relationships and helping them get the results they desire. I would love to have Dori on my team again!”

Lizzie Merritt, Coach, eLearning Specialist, and Remote Team Culture Maven

“Dori and I have worked together in the academic sphere. Dori is an extraordinarily resilient and compassionate person. She mentored me in my early days of graduate school and she has supported me in both my personal and professional life.

Dori and I both experienced stress as we trained for our professional careers. Our professional and personal friendship served as a strong support system and set us up for socio-emotional success in the workplace and with our families. Dori is a lifelong friend who will reinforce positive socio-emotional growth.”
